This was the question to Discuss!
Discuss the importance of conducting a thorough literature review as it relates to the research process.

Here is what a student post I just need to give a response t this post!
A literature review is” a written summary of the state of evidence on a research problem” (Polit, & Beck, 2018, pg. 170). Literature reviews allow education professionals to identify effective interventions and assess trends in research and practice (King, Davidson, Chitiyo, & Apple, 2020). A literature review summarizes current evidence on a specific topic and identifies the importance of the present study (Polit, & Beck, 2018). The research process involves gathering and analyzing information to support the research question that was developed. A literature review ensures that relevant studies contained adequate evidence on a topic. Literature reviews identify gaps in knowledge, synthesize results of previous studies, refine questions, and address issues in research methodology (King, Davidson, Chitiyo, & Apple, 2020).
