This assignment serves to consolidate the materials we will cover in this course. As the main objective of the class is to understand the economic development issues facing developing countries and how low-income countries can transform their economics, the assignment serves to give students the opportunities to use their newly acquired knowledge of developmental economic issues to come up with a possible policy solution for one developing country. This Term Paper worth – 30% of your final grade Write a research-based paper which proposes a solution to improve an economic development issue in a developing country. Your paper should identify an economic development issue that you believe is relevant to a developing country. Explain why this issue is important and provide appropriate empirical evidence to justify your claims. Then, formulate policy recommendations to address the issue you have identified. The paper should take the following format:  Select a developing country  Identify a specific economic development issue you believe is important  Explain why you believe this issue is important  Provide appropriate empirical evidence to justify your claim  Justifies the need for action to address the problem  Summarizes pertinent research literature (from the course readings and elsewhere) related to the issue  Proposes a solution to address the problem, Length of the term paper: 13-15 pages, typed, double spaced, times new roman, font 12. References/Citation: There is a minimum of at least 5 references. A cover page is needed, and either MLA or APA citation style is okay with me.
