Successful implementation of LMS platform

Project description1. Background to the issueBarMa was founded by Lasse Nørremark and Simon Andresen. In short, the company aims to raise the level of competence in the service industry. This is done through online training of employees and managers. The teaching is based on collecting expert knowledge, within the relevant knowledge and competencies of the industry. This includes topics such as conflict management, product knowledge, optimization of workflows, sales psychology, management and general service, etc. These topics will create value for the bartender, servants and managers, thus helping them provide a skills boost and professional development, which ultimately would result in increased revenue in the company. This learning is facilitated on an online LMS (Learning Management System) platform. This is done in close cooperation with the company Eloomi, which provides the platform for this purpose. BarMa earns its money by letting both owner and producer pay for presence on the platform. In connection with the implementation of Barma at potential customers, there has been a challenge in ensuring the ongoing commitment of the employee associated with the service company. We assume that an important part of this challenge is due to a lack of commitment from management or that employees do not find the platform relevant enough.2. Purpose descriptionThe purpose of the assignment is to ensure the successful implementation of platform and training material for new as well as existing customers. The purpose of this project is to investigate what specific action proposals are needed to enable employees from individual service companies to engage in Barmas platform.3. Problem Formulation How can we ensure ongoing activity and commitment from the users of the platform? subquestions: What actions can be taken to increase the frequency of activity from the users on the platform? What interests do they have in connection with their work? Where on the platform are users lost? (user journey) Why does the users not return to the platform? 4. Limitation and delimitationIn the test of our product, we have delimited us geographically to Denmark. We have further limited ourselves to the catering industry as it is expert knowledge in this area we will focus on.5. Description of its expected methodologyThe purpose of the study is to find out what concrete actions are needed to solve our problem formulation. We are going to move into paradigms: post positivism or social constructivism. The reasons for these choices are that, based on our problem formulation, we want to investigate, test and find causal links that can navigate us in the direction of possible solutions to our problem formulation. We have chosen to apply case study based on the desire to obtain detailed and practical knowledge. With the use of mixed methods, we have learned that combining qualitative and quantitative methods brings new findings and angles, deeper insight and greater validity when testing a given phenomenon. We want to use qualitative method in terms of observation of the use of the platform. For example, there might be findings like: where do they press the platform? Are they stuck? etc. Another qualitative method we will also use is interview, to find out what reasons there may be why employee service providers are inactive? Quantitative methods could also be preset to appear in the form of a questionnaire, to find out more about our target group. The way we will collect data is through qualitative and quantitative methods with the customers Barma is working with at the present time. For the processing and analysis of the data we collect, we will use coding strategies and concrete statistical tests. And of course, we must be aware of bias and assess whether the validity of the data is good enough.6. Some of the elements of the teaching we would like to include in the projectProfession – InnovationLean Startup (BML)Innovation as usualSubject – Change management:In relation to whether there is anything on Barmas platform that has to be changed, in order to answer our problem formulation, a model like EAST will be beneficial to use.Lewin’s 3-step model or kotter’s 8-step modelSelf-Determination theorytheory of E-O managementSubjects – Growth:One might imagine that we would use a business model at Barma to get an overview of what activities might be relevant to deepen with ift.
