I’m studying for my Powerpoint class and need an explanation.
As a business professional, you will frequently need to present original ideas to important stakeholders. If you are working at a company, that might mean presenting an idea to your CEO. If you are an entrepreneur, that might mean presenting a new piece of technology to a venture capital firm. The purpose of this assignment is to help you get more comfortable presenting your work and ideas to an unfamiliar audience.
For this presentation exercise, you will develop and deliver a 5-minute individual presentation. You will be required to record this presentation, which should be spoken directly to your audience as if they were sitting across from you. You are expected to be fully prepared for your presentation, so you will be held accountable for any and all technical difficulties.
This assignment will be assessed on two different levels:
- Creating persuasive content that would appeal to your audience.
- Developing your unique and effective delivery style.
For this assignment, you are required to select one of the following prompts:
- You have a new initiative, program, or job promotion for which you would like approval from your current employer. The hypothetical audience will be your company’s C-Level team.
- You have a new company/idea that you would like to pitch for investment and funding from a Venture Capital firm.
For each of these prompts, you should think deeply about context and how it would impact your audience. When crafting your presentation, you should think carefully about content selection, structure, how to build connection between yourself and your audience. When delivering your presentation, be sure to modulate your voice and gestures to emphasize key points, to maintain consistent energy, and to facilitate a transfer of enthusiasm.
Be sure to consider and communicate any aspects that may require approval, including access to company resources, requests for funding, and board member support.
Note :- Out of above mentioned two options I would like to go with 1st one which is
“You have a new initiative, program, or job promotion for which you would like approval from your current employer. The hypothetical audience will be your company’s C-Level team.”
And also please remember that I work for hilton as assistant manager where i look over guest services, room and rate inventory, department training and development, and department budget as well. I am with company for almost seven years, worked in every single department except hotel engineering from root level to managerial level. may be i will give you a short of idea at which level i am standing currently.
If its possible please do the script for me as well so that it will be easy for me when i will do presentation and it will look more realistic as i worked on in otherwise it will look so fake.
